One of my most pleasurable holiday traditions would be the assembly of client Christmas gifts. I would begin ordering the gift items at the summer trade shows and would prepare their presentation well in advance of a designer’s hectic holiday deadlines. It would be a variety of my favorite gift items all exquisitely-wrapped to convey my appreciation for their business that year. Content to just enjoy it’s presentation, women would delay the unwrapping for days. Once opened, they would comment and remember the experience for years. Such is the power of gifting to women.

When it became time to change gears, re-focus, follow a new passion after 20 years of interior design (and find a way to give back) it was a given that I would turn to the art of gifting. It is one of my most pleasurable and creative outlets. Along with sharing many elements of design, it was the message behind gifting that appealed to me the most.

Like many women, I have many occasions where I want to offer support or convey a message, often to family and friends across the country. Doing it in a way that
was uniquely special, luxurious, and feminine became the idea behind Oooh la la – Cadeau.
